Gustav Piekut has been awarded Gladsaxe Musikpris 2021 at a concert with Copenhagen Phil and Maestro Toshiyuki Kamioka, where they performed Beethoven’s 5th Piano Concerto, the ‘Emperor’. Gladsaxe Musikpris consists of a scholarship of DKK 50.000 and has been awarded to some of the most important Danish classical musicians since 1966. VIolinist (and chamber music partner!) Gustav Piekut has just been announced as the 3rd Prize winner at the prestigious piano competition Kissinger Klavierolymp in Germany. The contestants are selected by invitation only and are already winners of major competitions.
